Putting all speculations to rest, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today made it clear that his sister Gita Mehta is not interested in politics.

"My sister is not interested in any political position...not in the Rajya Sabha or anything else," Patnaik said here today.
It was earlier rumoured that Mehta, a well known writer, would take the place of senior BJD leader Bishnu Charan Das in Rajya Sabha.
The speculations had gained momentum after Das resigned as the member of the Upper House.
Gita Mehta's name had been doing the rounds in political circles as a possible replacement for Bishnu Das.
