Mystery! Severed body of Gaon Sathi found near pond in Odisha

Rourkela: Mystery shrouded death of a youth, whose chopped body parts with a severed head  were found from a pond at Bhawanipur village under Sundargarh Town police limits in the district  today.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Singh, Gaon Sathi of Kirei Gram Panchayat in the district.

As per reports, Ramesh had gone for a feast with a co-villager after returning from his office on January 13. He called up his family and informed that he will be late to home. As he did not return that night, his family members lodged a complaint at Sundargah Town police station.

Later in the evening, locals were stunned to see a stray dog carrying a human hand in its mouth. Few hours after, the locals found few chopped body parts near a pond in the locality and informed the police. Early this morning, police along with a scientific team and fire personnel reached the spot for investigation. After a while, the cops recovered a severed head, a leg and a hand from the pond. Search is on to find other parts of the body. sources added.

Family members of the deceased alleged that some miscreants have killed him and chopped his body before dumping the same. Meanwhile,  the police have detained two persons of the village for interrogation.
