Mystery shrouds newly married woman’s death in Odisha Capital, family alleges murder

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a newly married woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Jalipatna village within Maheswar police limits of Bhubaneswar here. The deceased was identified as Laxmipriya of Diasahi in Jagatsinghpur district. While the exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained, family members of the woman have alleged that she was strangled to death by her husband and in-laws.
Sources said Laxmipriya had married one Prabhat Parida two years back. Her kin have alleged that some conflict transpired on Wednesday night which led Laxmipriya’s in-laws to kill her.
They reached out to Maheshwar police and have filed a complaint after which investigation has started. The body has been seized for autopsy and probe is underway. Further details are awaited.
