The Odisha government today approved 30 posts for the new traffic police station to be set up in Puri for better traffic management during the Nabakalabara festival scheduled in July this year.
The approval was given by chief minister Naveen Patnaik.
Of the 30 posts sanctioned for the proposed traffic police station, onewould be of inspector rank, three sub inspectors, six assistant sub inspectors and 20 constables.
Recruitment for the sanctioned posts would begin very soon, official sources said.
