NALCO donates Rs 2 cr to CM’s relief fund

Bhubaneswar, Oct 17: State-run aluminium major National Aluminium Company (NALCO) on Thursday donated Rs 2 crore to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for restoration and relief operation in cyclone and flood-hit areas.

The cheque was handed over to chief minister Naveen Patnaik by a team of officials led by NALCO CMD Anshuman Das at the State Secretariat here.

The chief minister, while appreciating NALCO’s gesture, thanked the team for the company’s contribution.

Besides NALCO, BRPL Group and MGM Group have also donated Rs 25 lakh Rs 20 lakh respectively while several other companies have also contributed to the CMRF, a release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said.
