Nalco to fund COVID-19 hospital in Odisha’s Nabarangpur

Bhubaneswar: Nalco, the navratna CPSE, today signed an agreement with the Nabarangpur district administration to set up an exclusive 100-bed COVID-19 hospital at Nabarangpur town.

The hospital will be managed by Christian Hospital, Nabarangpur.

As per a tripartite agreement, a COVID-19 exclusive isolation facility care centre has been established at B.Ed. College, Hirli, Nabarangpur.

An official said once the exclusive COVID-19 hospital gets operational in tribal-dominated Nabarangpur district, it will be helpful for people of other adjoining districts of Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri and Kalahandi as well.

Nalco employees had contributed two days salaries amounting to Rs 5.2 crore which has been remitted to PM CARES fund and Odisha CM’s Relief Fund.
