Name examiners who bungled OJS evaluation, Odisha HC to OPSC

Odisha Sun Times Bureau
Cuttack, Apr 16:

The Odisha High Court on Wednesday asked the authorities of the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) to submit the name of the examiners responsible for the faulty evaluation of the papers of the Odisha Judicial Service (OJS) examinations held last year.

High CourtA division bench of the court comprising acting Chief Justice PK Mohanty and Justice Biswajit Mohanty directed the OPSC to submit the name of the erring examiners in a sealed envelope to the court.

The directive of the court came during the hearing of a petition filed by S Jyotiranjan, who had appeared in the examinations in 2014.

It may be mentioned that the court, while acting on the petition of Jyotiranjan, had directed the OPSC to submit his answer sheet.

While going through the answer sheet, it was revealed that the concerned examiners had not awarded any mark to the answer given by the petitioner.

Taking note of the gross apathy, the court had later directed the OPSC to submit the name the erring examiners in a sealed envelope.
