Narrow escape for Bhadak SP as truck hits his car

Bhadrak: Bhadrak Superintendent of Police (SP) Charan Singh Meena had a narrow escape after his car was hit by a truck on NH-16 near Bhandaripokhari Square in the district this morning.

Sources said the senior cop was returning to Bhadrak from Bhandaripokhari Check Post area this morning. The accident took place when a speeding truck hit his car from the behind. Though the SP and his driver escaped unhurt,  the car was partially damaged in the mishap.

Later, Bhandaripokhari police detained the truck driver for questioning when he was trying to escape the site along with his vehicle, sources added.
