Narrow escape for passengers as bus hangs off Mahanadi River bridge in Odisha

Banki: Passengers escaped narrowly from a major accident as a bus carrying them hanged off a bridge over the Mahanadi River after a crash today.

Over 10 passengers sustained minor injuries in the accident.

According to reports, the passenger bus was en route to Bhubaneswar from Angul district. It crashed into the parapet of the Jatamundia-Subarnapur bridge, leaving the front end hanging off the bridge.

However, the panicked passengers managed to alight from the bus.
