Bhubaneswar: India has announced that any future act of terror will be considered as an ‘Act of War’ against the country and will be responded accordingly.

The Union Government made this announcement amid escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan following the April 22 terror attack at Pahalgam. At least 26 innocent tourists were killed in the attack.

The Indian Armed Forces recently launched precision strikes against terror infrastructure in Pakistan, under Operation Sindoor, in response to the Pahalgam attack.

The decision to consider an act of terror against India as an “act of war’’ has added a new chapter to the country’s national security doctrine, reports said.
