India observes National Safety Day on March 4 every year with an aim of generating awareness and commitment towards working safely.
National Safety Council had initiated the observance in 1972 to increase the awareness of all the guidelines of safety measures, including road safety, workplace safety, the safety of human health, as well as the environment.
The day emphasizes on safety protocols and measures that need to be adhered to, to avoid any type of workplace accidents.
The ultimate objective of the day is to commit employees and the general public to work safely by adhering to all safety guidelines.
