Naveen attacks Modi, says PM had no time to visit Odisha during misery

Balasore: BJD Chief Naveen Patnaik, who is seeking a fifth consecutive term in office, today directly attacked BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterating that the the latter is frequently visiting Odisha only to seek votes.

Patnaik alleged, “The Prime Minister did not come to Odisha in the time of misery. He did not have time then. Now since elections is underway, he is frequenting to the State.”

Speaking about the Centre’s share in construction of Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital here, the CM said the State spent Rs 10,000 crore for the medical institution while the Central Government gave only Rs 100 crore.

He further alleged that a Central Minister from Odisha had been opposing the medical college. But the State Government made it possible after taking permission from the Supreme Court-appointed Central Empowered Committee, he added.

“The Swabhimani Odias of the soil of Fakir Mohan Senapati would give a befitting reply to such dirty politics,” asserted the BJD Chief.

Patnaik later appealed the voters to cast their votes in favour of party MP candidate Rabindra Jena and MLA candidate Ananta Das in the four phase elections on April 29.
