Naveen begins marathon campaign again to woo voters in Patkura

Kendrapara: After months break from high voltage political campaign, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Supremo Naveen Patnaik once again undertook a marathon campaign for party candidate to woo voters in poll-bound Patkura.

Thousands gathered to catch a glimpse of Chief Minister, who was waving at them on his hi-tech luxury bus.

“I am seeking your blessings. Please vote for Sabitri Agarwalla. I will personally look after Patkura Constituency,” said Patnaik to crowd during a roadshow.

The BJD chief embarked on a marathon campaign for BJD’s assembly nominee to win the ‘prestige battle’ in upcoming Patkura poll under Kendrapara Lok Sabha Constituency. He began the roadshow after reaching Barimula area in Kendrapara this morning.

Earlier, several heavyweights in the party had campaigned for Sabitri Agarwalla to sweep the poll scheduled on July 20.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress have begun rigorous campaign for their candidates to win Patkura Assembly seat.

Recently, the BJP leaders including Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Pratap Chandra Sarangi and newly elected MP Aparajita Sarangi had visited Patkura to woo the voters for the party candidate Bijoy Mohapatra.

Congress’ state chief Niranjan Patnaik and senior leader Narasingha Mishra also campaigned for the party’s assembly candidate Jayanta Kumar Mohanty.
