Naveen congratulates Dharmendra for becoming Minister as latter describes him as statesman

Bhubaneswar: BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik today congratulated Dharmendra Pradhan for becoming a minister in the Union Cabinet.

Thanking Patnaik, the BJP leader described the former Odisha Chief Minister as a 'statesman'.

"Thank you for the good wishes, Naveen Patnaik ji. Words of encouragement from a statesman like you means a lot. We are steadfast in our commitment to fulfil aspirations, take forward the growth trajectory as well as realise the goal of Viksit Odisha and Viksit Bharat," Pradhan posted on 'X'.

Patnaik also congratulated Jual Oram and Ashwini Vaishnaw on being sworn-in as ministers in the Union Cabinet.

Pradhan and Oram have been elected from Sambalpur and Sundargarh Lok Sabha constituencies, respectively.

Former Odisha cadre IAS officer Ashwini Vaishnaw was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Odisha.
