Naveen inaugurates BJD’s new office Shankha Bhawan
The new building will be the confluence point of those who love people of Odisha and want to serve them: CM
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik today dedicated the new party office ‘Shankha Bhawan’ to people of Odisha on auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya.
Attending the inauguration ceremony of the luxury building of BJD, Patnaik expressed his gratitude to all who have contributed to building the Shankha Bhawan.
Remembering history of the party, he said, “A new era had begun in Odisha in the year 1997 with birth of the Biju Janata Dal from principles of legendary leader late Biju Patnaik. The BJD, which was formed as the regional party to serve people of Odisha, has now been transformed into a social revolution.”
The party has been riding success since 1997 scripting record under leadership of Naveen Patnaik.
Patnaik said that the new party office will work towards development in all sectors in Odisha.
“This Shankha Bhawan will be the dearest to 4.5 crore population of Odisha. This building will be the confluence point of those who love people of Odisha and want to serve them. This will be the platform for all who want to do something for Odisha. This will unite 4.5 crore Odia people. All the programmes of Shankha Bhawan will be dedicated to people of Odisha. It will be dedicated to protect the interest of Odisha. It will be dedicated to development of education, art and culture of Odisha. It will work towards promotion of culture of Lord Jagannath in the world. This Shankha Bhawan will be the inspiration place for not just physical, social, economic, cultural and political growth of Odisha, but also the spiritual growth rooted in the principle of Jagannath culture,” he said adding, “It will send out the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.”
“Let’s get together and take forward the tradition of service and dedicate ourselves to glorify the culture and pride of our motherland,” he concluded.
With the inauguration of the building, the renovated luxury BJD office will start functioning from today.
