Naveen launches industrial projects worth Rs 8,939 Cr in Odisha
3rd edition of Make In Odisha conclave will be held from Nov 30 to Dec 4 next year.
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today performed groundbreaking of 22 projects and inaugurated five projects worth Rs 8,939 crore. The projects spanning 10 sectors will create job opportunities for 12,142 people.
Launching the projects at a function through video conference here, the CM said Odisha has a vision of becoming one of the top three investment destinations in the country in terms of grounded investments. “The state has emerged as the number one state and the most attractive destination for investments from April to September 2019 receiving 18 percent investment of the entire country. Our focus should be on quick grounding of these industrial projects,” he said.
Patnaik also launched a new website for Odisha Film Development Corporation (OFDC).
On the occasion, he launched the 365-day countdown for the third edition of Make In Odisha conclave, the biennial global investors’ meet of the state Government. The extravaganza will be held from November 30 to December 4 next year.
“Let’s all work together to make it the greatest investment summit ever organised by any state in the country. I invite the global business community to join us at the summit starting November 30,” said Patnaik.
Industries Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra said Odisha has already emereged as a major investment destination in the country. After third edition of the mega event, the state will be considered as the best state to provide a suitable environment for industrialists.
