Naveen reaches New Delhi. Here’s his 7-day schedule

New Delhi: After historical victory and assuming the office as the Chief Minister of Odisha for the fifth consecutive term, Naveen Patnaik is now on a 7-day tour to New Delhi for various official programmes.

Patnaik is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 11 and cyclone FANI is likely to be part of discussion between the two leaders.

“I will meet PM Modi on June 11 and discuss the loss incurred in Odisha due to cyclone FANI,” said Patnaik after reaching the national capital today.

The CM will attend NITI Aayog’s Governing Council Meeting scheduled on June 15.

He will also meet President Ram Nath Kovind during his 7-day trip in New Delhi. He is scheduled to make his way back to Bhubaneswar on June 15 evening.

Notably, this will be Patnaik’s first official meeting with Modi after the elections. The speculations are on rife that the BJD Supremo will pitch for appointment of MP Bhartruhari Mahtab as Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha. Patnaik is also likely to meet some other Union Ministers during his visit.
