Neighbour rapes minor girl in Odisha’s Ganjam

Police have today detained a youth from Bhabandha village under Purushottam police station limits for allegedly raping a minor girl of the same village.

The minor girl and the youth have been medically examined in connection with the case, police sources said.

According to the complaint the youth allegedly raped his neighbour’s minor daughter on Thursday night. On the matter coming to light, the victim’s father today lodged a written complaint at the Purushottampur police station.

“The incident is being investigated. The truth will come out after we receive the medical examination reports,” said a police official.
