New unit of Talcher Thermal Power Station to come up soon
Bhubaneswar: A new unit of the Talcher Thermal Power Station (TTPS) will come up soon. This was informed by Odisha Chief Secretary SC Mohapatra after a virtual meeting with National Thermal Power Station (NTPC) Chairman Gurudeep Singh here.
The Chief Secretary further stated there will be another meeting between officials of the Energy Department, Gridco and NTPC to chalk out plans for the establishment of the second unit of TTPS.

As there are some misconceptions among locals over the project, the State government will also discuss with the NTPC officials to find out ways to resolve the issue.
He assured complete support of the government to ensure speedy execution of the project.
