New Year gift to house surgeons in Odisha, stipend hiked to Rs 20k

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government today announced to hike stipend of house surgeons of state-run medical colleges and hospitals from existing Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000.

The hike will be effective from April 1, 2017.

The stipend of house surgeons working at SCB Medical College & Hospital, Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati (MKCG) Medical College & Hospital and Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) has been hiked from Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000, informed Health Minister Pratap Jena.
