Newborn found dead at drain in Odisha’s Kendrapara

Kendrapara: Body of a newborn girl was found at a drain near Hazari Bagicha under Town police limits in Odisha’s Kendrapara district, today.

Locals spotted the baby girl’s body floating this morning and informed the police. Cops have recovered the body.

Though the reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the newborn was dumped after delivery as multiple private nursing homes are located near the drain. Police have started investigation into the incident.
