Newborn rescued from graveyard in Odisha’s Angul
Angul: A newborn was today rescued from a graveyard at Balaramprasad under Nalco police limits in Odisha’s Angul district.
According to reports, a woman of the locality heard the baby crying at the graveyard this morning. As the woman approached nearer, she found the newborn wrapped in a bag and rescued the infant.

On being informed by villagers, officials of the District Child Protection Unit reached the spot and lodged a complaint in this regard with police.
The newborn has been admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital. Investigation will be carried out to ascertain the person who abandoned the baby at the graveyard, an official said.
