Newly married woman thrashed to death in Odisha, husband detained

Sundergarh: A newly married woman was allegedly thrashed to death by husband in Odisha’s Sundergarh district. Police detained the accused in connection with his wife’s murder.

According to reports, the accused Rajesh Khadia (28) of Banabahal village under Hemagiri police limit of Sundergarh district had tied the knot with Jamuna Khadia five months ago. He allegedly thrashed her wife to death over feud between them yesterday night.

The victim was rushed to the Hemagiri hospital under critical condition this morning. However, she had died while being taken to the hospital.

Police are interrogating Jamuna’s husband, who is detained in the case.
