Bhubaneswar: Mystery shrouds the death of a newly-wed couple at Kapileswar Kumbhar Sahi under Lingaraj police limits here. The two  identified as Rakesh Rout (32) and Menakshi Rout (26) were found dead inside their house this morning.

Sources said the two had married three months ago and were staying in Kapileswar Kumbhar Sahi. Rakesh was working as newspaper hawker. When they did not open the door of  the house till late in the morning, locals called up police. The cops broke open the door and found Rakesh hanging from ceiling of the house and the body of his wife lying on the ground.

While the exact cause behind the deaths is yet  to be ascertained, preliminary investigation suggests that it is a case of suicide. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the Lingaraj police has initiated a probe into the incident.
