A two-day training programme on ‘Developing Transformational Leadership’ for senior executives of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) was held from 20th to 21st June, 2025 at the Learning & Development Department.

The programme was inaugurated by Mr. S S Roychoudhury, CGM (Maintenance), RSP. Mr. P K Sahoo, CGM (HR-L&D), and Dr. S N Singh, Former ED (HR), Bokaro Steel Limited & the resource person for the programme, were present on the dais.

In his inaugural address, Mr. Roychoudhury expressed hope that the initiative would guide and inspire the future leaders of RSP to effectively navigate emerging challenges. He urged participants to make the most of this opportunity to enhance their leadership capabilities.

Welcoming the participants, Mr. P K Sahoo provided an overview of the curriculum and described it as a well-structured and practical programme designed to promote personal and professional growth.

Dr. S N Singh, in his address, highlighted the key takeaways and objectives of the programme, emphasising the relevance of transformational leadership in today’s dynamic business environment.

The sessions covered a range of crucial topics, including personal leadership, modelling character and competence, building trust, and the skills required to become a transformational leader.

Mr. Atish Chandra Sarkar, CGM In-Charge (Services), and Mr. P K Sahoo presided over the concluding session and received feedback from the participants of the programme.

The programme was coordinated by Ms. Chaitali Das, GM (HR-L&D), while Mr. K K Jaiswal, DGM (HR-L&D), and Mr. D C Gouda, Junior Engineering Associate (L&D), facilitated the training programme.
