Newspaper hawker drowns in Odisha’s Jajpur

Jajpur: In a tragic incident, a newspaper hawker met a watery grave at Balichandrapur area in Jajpur district of Odisha today.

The deceased has been identified as Thuria Senapati.

According to reports, the 42-year-old newspaper hawker had been to a pond near his house in the morning while he was moving to Balichandrapur market to collect newspapers for distribution.

Sources said that he drowned in the water after he suffered from epilepsy.

The locals searched him in the pond but could not find him. Later, they informed the fire services department about the incident. The firefighters recovered the body of newspaper hawker from the pond and sent it to a hospital for autopsy.
