Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) Ltd. today has donated Rs 50 lakhs to the Odisha Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the people of the state affected by Cyclone Hudhud, said an official press release here.

Chairman and managing director of the corporation, B Surendra Mohan and director SK Acharya presented the cheque to the Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik at the secretariat today.

The Chief Minister appreciated the endeavour of NLC towards the noble cause.

It may be noted that Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited (NLC) is a government-owned lignite mining and power generating company in India. It operates the largest open-pit lignite mines in India.
