Night temperature to fall further across Odisha: IMD

Bhubaneswar: The minimum temperature (night temperature) at many places across Odisha fell by 2 to 4 degree Celsius in last 24 hours and it is likely to plummet further by 2 to 3 degree Celsius in the next 24 hours, predicted the IMD today.

“Minimum temperature (night temperature) is very likely to fall further by 2 to 3 degree C in the next 24 hours and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha,” said the IMD Regional Centre here.

Dry weather is most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha for the next five days. Cold wave condition is very likely to occur at one or two places over Jharsuguda and Sundargarh districts for two days starting February 2, said the IMD bulletin.

Rourkela in Sundargarh district recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 8 degree C while Boudh recorded the highest temperature of 35 degree C in the last 24 hours, said the IMD.

Similiguda in Koraput district recorded minimum temperature of 9.5 degree C in the past 24 hours. Bhubaneswar recorded the maximum temperature of 32.3 degree C and minimum of 16.5 degree C while Cuttack recorded the maximum of 30.8 degree C and minimum of 16.6 degree C in the past 24 hours, added the IMD.

“The maximum and minimum temperature in Bhubaneswar is very likely to be around 31 degree C and 15 degree C respectively in the next 24 hours, said the bulletin.
