Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Nikunja Bihari Dhal has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

The General Administration & Public Grievance Department in Odisha issued a notification in this regard today.

At present, Dhal, a 1993-batch IAS officer, is working as Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in Odisha and ex-officio Additional Chief Secretary Home Department (elections).

The state government had earlier appointed Debi Prasad Mishra, Deputy Secretary to H&UD Department, as Deputy Secretary to the Chief Minister.

Similarly, senior OFS officer Umesh Chandra Tripathy, who was earlier working as FA-cum-Additional Secretary to Steel & Mines department, was transferred and posted as Additional Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

Besides, the state government had appointed senior OAS officer Chitrasen Rout as Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister. Rout was earlier serving as the Additional Secretary to Works Department.

A few days ago, the state government had appointed senior OAS officer Trilochan Mohanty as the Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister. Mohanty was earlier serving as the Keonjhar Sub-Collector.

Moreover, Satish Chandra Samal, who was earlier working as the senior private secretary of the Home Department cadre, was appointed as the Additional Private Secretary to the Chief Minister.
