Nilgiri langur dies at Nandankanan Zoo

Bhubaneswar: A day after the country’s lone orangutan died at Nandankanan Zoological Park here, a male Nilgiri langur died in the zoo today.

The langur that was brought from Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Chennai in 2017 died this morning following brief illness. With this, only one Nilgiri langur (female) is left in the zoo.

As per the zoo authorities, the monkey was suffering from diarrhoea and fever for the last couple of days after cyclone FANI.
