NIRF Ranking 2021: Four institutes from Odisha in Top 100

Bhubaneswar: As many as four institutes from Odisha have been placed in the NIRF Ranking 2021 (National Institutional Ranking Framework) by the Union Ministry of Education.

As per the rankings, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) has been ranked 37th, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) 39th, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela 41st and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar 58th.

Below are category-wise ranks of institutes from Odisha in the NIRF 2021:

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was approved by the MHRD and launched on 29th September, 2015.

This framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. The methodology draws from the overall recommendations broad understanding arrived at by a Core Committee set up by MHRD, to identify the broad parameters for ranking various universities and institutions. The parameters broadly cover “Teaching, Learning and Resources,” “Research and Professional Practices,” “Graduation Outcomes,” “Outreach and Inclusivity,” and “Perception”.
