Nirjala Ekadashi observance is dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu. It falls on the ekadashi tithi of shukla paksha during the hindu lunar month of Jyestha.

Ekadashi Tithi Begins: June 10, 2022 7:26 AM.

Ekadashi Tithi Ends: June 11, 2022 5:45 AM.

Fast Breaking Time: June 11, 5:44 AM – June 11, 8:25 AM.

Rituals: Devotees observe Nirjala Ekadashi by keeping strict fast without drinking water.

The vrat starts from sunrise of the ekadashi tithi and ends at sunrise of the dwadashi tithi.

Those who are unable to do strict fasting can also opt partial fasting.

Fasting is concluded after worshiping Lord Vishnu and offering food to Brahmins.

On the Nirjala Ekadashi day, Lord Vishnu is worshipped with full dedication. Devotees offer Tulsi leaves, flower, fruits and sweets to the Lord.

Reading ‘Vishnu Sahasranamam’ and other Vedic mantras dedicated to Lord Vishnu is considered auspicious on this day.
