Nishan Jyoti Mohanty, hockey coach from Bhubaneswar, has been appointed as an umpire for the 4th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship 2014 in the B Division scheduled to commence from March 15 to 23 at Mysore.

Mohanty, who had earlier officiated previous Hockey India Championships, is an employee of East Coast Railway Bhubaneswar.

In a release here today, Hockey Odisha general secretary and vice president of Hockey India Pratap Satpathy said Nishan has a bright future ahead.

“He is a talented young man with total dedication to the ever evolving modern game of Hockey", he added.

According to Mohammad Shakeel, member Hockey Odisha, “Nishan is a young promising Hockey coach and is gradually being recognized as future coach in all India level”.
