NIT-Rourkela student tests COVID-19 positive, a day after Prez visit

Rourkela: A day after President Ram Nath Kovind visited the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Rourkela to address its convocation, a student of the premier institute has tested positive for COVID-19.

So far, three cases have been detected in the institute this month.

While the first case was detected on March 10, two more students tested positive on March 15 and 22.

The infectees have been kept in isolation inside the campus of NIT, an official source said today.

President Ram Nath Kovind had visited the NIT-Rourkela on March 21. The next day, one student was found positive for COVID-19.

Few days back, 28 students of XIMB had tested positive for the deadly virus.
