No birthday celebration for Odisha CM this year too

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will not celebrate his birthday tomorrow in view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.

Announcing this, Patnaik said people of all walks of life is going through a crisis caused by the deadly Coronavirus for the last eight months. He requested his well-wishers not to visit Naveen Nivas tomorrow to wish him and help the needy instead. He also requested the people to donate blood and plasma on the day.

The CM added that he is always indebted to the people of Odisha for their love and affection towards him.

Last year also, Patnaik had not celebrated his birthday for cyclone FANI that hit the Odisha coast on May 3, 2019. He had also refrained from birthday celebrations in the previous years for cyclones Phailin, Hudhud and Titli.
