‘No helmet, no puja’ signboard put up at Odisha temple

Jagatsinghpur: No helmet, no puja of two wheelers. This is what a sign board put up by Jagatsinghpur administration at Maa Sarala temple says to visitors. With an aim to create awareness about road safety, the administration has taken a decision to install such signboard.

Earlier the district administration had put up road safety awareness boards at fuel refilling stations and other important places.

People from different quarters of the society have welcomed the administration’s decision to put up ‘no helmet, no puja’ board at the temple.

“This step will motivate two-wheeler riders to abide the road safety norms and wear helmets. Undoubtedly this will lessen road mishaps and create an awareness,” said Madhusudan Parida, a local resident.
