No relief to Aryan Khan; cruise drugs case to be heard tomorrow

Bhubaneswar/Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, who was arrested in connection with cruise drug bust case, will have to stay in jail till next hearing of his bail application scheduled on October 12.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) sought time from the Mumbai court to respond to the bail application of accused Aryan Khan and the court court gave time to the anti-drug agency till Wednesday.

The Mumbai court asked the NCB to argue in the same matter in the second half of the same day.

The application was filed on Friday evening in Mumbai session’s court seeking bail for Aryan Khan, who is lodged at the Arthur Road Central Jail in connection with a drug case.

“We will move to the higher court if the bail application is rejected by Mumbai court. We have also filed the bail plea at the Special NDPS Court in Mumbai. The hearing is likely to take place today,” said Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde.

Talking about the case, NCB Director Sameer Wankedhe said, “We will make an attempt that the case will reach a logical conclusion. We will submit all documents in the court.”

Aryan Khan was arrested following a rave party busted by the NCB on a Goa-bound luxury cruise off Mumbai coast on October 2 night. He was charged for consumption, selling and buying of drugs.
