Bhubaneswar: Despite nor'wester rain in parts of Odisha yesterday, no large change was seen in day temperature in Bhubaneswar as the heatwave continued to prevail, making it the hottest place in Odisha for the third time this summer.
According to the IMD, the Capital city of Odisha, Bhubaneswar, recorded a maximum temperature of 43.8°C by 2.30 PM today, the highest day temperature of this season in April.
Like Bhubaneswar, there is no respite from heatwave in Balasore and Chandbali as the places recorded 40.7°C and 40.4°C respectively.
However, the day temperature slightly dropped in several places due to nor'wester rain.
By 2.30 PM today, the temperature was 38°C in Keonjhar, 37°C in Gopalpur, 36.6°C in Sambalpur, 36.2°C in Jharsuguda, 35.4°C in Paradeep, 35°C in Puri, 34.8°C in Hirakud and 34.4°C in Rourkela.
