Normal life hit in Jharsuguda due to incessant rainfall

Jharsuguda: Normal life was thrown out of gear due to continuous rainfall in Jharsuguda district, which has led to waterlogging situation.

Road communication has been disrupted between Jharsuguda SP office and District Headquarters Hospital as water was flowing above 2 ft creating inconvenience for patients and locals.

The road leading to the hospital as well as Laikera and Kirmira villages was inundated due to heavy spells of rainfall. This apart, water from the canal was overflowing on the main road.

Alleging deterioration of the drainage system in the area, people have urged Jharsuguda Municipality to keep an eye on the situation.
