The residents in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack heaved a sigh of relief as drizzle at many places in these cities pulled the mercury by few notches.

The strong wind flow, however, uprooted many trees affecting the vehicular movement and power supply in some areas.

According to an IMD bulletin, rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at one or two places over the state.

It further added that heat wave condition is likely to prevail at few places over interior Odisha with severe heat wave condition at one or two places over coastal Odisha tomorrow.

Earlier in the day, Bhubaneswar recorded 41.6 degree Celsius and Cuttack registered 38.2 degree Celsius at 11.30 am.
