Nor’wester rain to lash these Odisha districts for 5 days from today

Rourkela: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here today predicted nor’wester rain in several districts across the State for five days starting today.

As per the latest bulletin issued by the Met Department, thundershower is likely to lash one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Gajapati, Ganjam and Puri districts today. However, dry weather is likely to prevail in the rest districts.

On March 29, light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over districts like Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Bhadrak. On March 30, light rain is likely to occur in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudha, Nayagarh, Balasore, Khordha and Ganjam districts

Besides, the weathermen predicted thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty wind in many coastal and interior south Odisha districts, including Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack Nayagarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal , Boudha, Sonepur and Khodha on March 31.

On April 1, thunderstorm along with gusty wind and lightning is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Myurbhanj, Balasore, Gajapati, Ganjam and Rayagada districts.
