Notification for OCA elections out. Here’re details

Cuttack: Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) will get its office-bearers soon as the elections of the cricket body will be held on September 27.

The Special General Body Meeting (SGBM) and elections of office-bearers of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) will take place at OCA Conference Hall, Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on 27th September, 2019, OCA said in a release.

On order of the Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators and in consultation with the OCA Electoral Officer ML Majumdar, OCA Working Committee Chairman Dhiren Pallai issued a notice on Saturday for holding the elections.

As per the notification, the elections will be conducted for a total of 6 posts, which include one each for President, Vice-president, Secretary, Joint-secretary, Treasurer and Councilor for Apex Council.

As per the schedule, final electoral roll will be published on September 15, filing of nominations on Sept 20, scrutiny of nominations on Sept 21 and withdrawal of candidature as well as publication of valid list of candidates on Sept 22.

All the members of General Body of OCA have been requested to send their authorised representatives for participation in the SGBM and the elections. All three former international cricketers of Odisha – Debasis Mohanty, Shiv Sundar Das and Sanjay Raul – have also been requested to join the SGBM.
