Notification issued for recruitment of 2,452 Medical Officers in Odisha; here’re details

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has invited online applications from eligible candidates holding MBBS degree for recruitment to the post of Medical Officers (Assistant Surgeon) in Group-A (Junior Branch). The notification has been issued for recruitment to 2,452 Medical Officers of the Odisha Medical and Health Services cadre under the Health and Family Welfare Department.

The link for registration, re-registration and payment of examination fee will be available from February 26, 2021 till March 25, 2021.

Here’re the details of the category-wise vacancy position:

Age limit: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 32 years as on January 1, 2021. The candidate must have been born not earlier than January 2, 1989 and not later than January 1, 2000.

The upper age limit will be relaxed for SC, ST, SEBC, women, ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities as per the government norms.

Educational qualification: The candidate must possess MBBS or equivalent Degree from a medical college or institution recognised by the Medical Council of India.

Examination fee: A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 500 only.

Method of selection: The selection of candidates for the recruitment to the posts of Medical Officers (Assistant Surgeon) will be on the basis of written test and carrer marking.
