Notorious ganja peddler held in Odisha’s Nabarangpur

Jeypore: The police today arrested a notorious ganja peddler in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district and forwarded him to the court.

Based on a tip-off, a team of police personnel of Koraput district raided a place near Kunduraguda in Nabarangpur district and arrested the drug peddler, Imran Ali Raja Khan. Also, Rs 3.3 lakh cash were seized from his possession. More than 10 cases have been pending against him at different police stations of Koraput.

Earlier, Imran Ali was arrested on several occasions and sent to jail. However, after being released on bail he used to resume his criminal activities such as drug peddling.

Intensifying its crackdown against illegal drug trade in Koraput district, the police raided several places in Jeypore and adjacent areas and arrested more than 40 drug peddlers in one month.
