Now get Board, university certificates online in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: From now on, students passing out from Board of Secondary Education and universities in Odisha won’t have to sweat it out to secure certificates as eight more public services have been made online.

Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi today launched public service portal http://lokaseba-odisha.in/ today in secretariat conference hall.

Of the eight online services, School and Mass Education Department offers six and Higher Education Department has two. The applicant can avail duplicate copy of high school mark sheet, duplicate copy of Board certificate, verification of certificates, marke sheet, migration certificate, provisional pass certificate and mark sheet.

During launch of the online system, Padhi directed Centre for Modernising Government Initiative (CMGI) to make the online services completely free of human interface besides linking the online service portal with Government dues payment system so that the applicant would not be required to visit the office physically for payment of requisite fees.

The Chief Secretary also directed for time-bound delivery of services as mandated under Odisha Right to Public Services Act, 2012 for timely and hassle free delivery of services.

Principal Secretary of School & Mass Education Department Pradeepta Kumar Mohapatra said: “Henceforth, students won’t have to visit Board or university to apply for these certificates. They can apply for these services online. The applicants would have to create user ID and password to log in to the website so as to apply for the required service. There would also be the facility to pay the fees online. After submitting the application the applicant would get an auto generated acknowledgement mentioning all details of his application.”

After authentication, the applicant would get an auto generated SMS on his mobile phone with instructions to download the certificate at his end.
