Now get ‘freedom’ of unlimited travel in MO BUS in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Offering better services to the non-tech savvy daily passengers on MO BUS routes, the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) launched a monthly pass on Independence Day here today.

With launch of the service ‘Freedom Monthly Pass’, the travellers especially the senior citizens without smartphones will be benefited to avail a monthly pass and discounts to have unlimited ride on MO BUS.

“As an organisation we believe in digitisation however Freedom Physical monthly passes has been launched to facilitate our non-tech savvy passengers, so that they also can avail our offers and enjoy our services,” said CRUT Managing Director Arun Bothra.

“Our team constantly take feedback from the passengers through all mediums of communications and work towards providing them world class services consistently aligned towards the safety and security of the citizens. The same endeavour will continue even in future,” he said.

The monthly pass will be available at kiosks at the MO BUS depot and bus queue shelters located at Master Canteen, Fire Station, Rasulgarh, Vani Vihar and KIIT (Big Bazaar) in Bhubaneswar from August 15, said the CRUT in a release.

The kiosks will be operational between 9.00 am and 7.00 pm during official working days.

The passengers will get 25% discount on the bus fare and will earn 5 days extra validity on purchase of the monthly passes by August 31, 2019. Each passenger will also get a free Odyssey City Card as an Independence Day Gift, the release stated.

To avail the monthly pass facility, the travellers need to furnish a stamp size photograph, identity proof (only PAN, Aadhar Card or Driving Licence) and cash or card for mode of payment. The Freedom Monthly passes are protected with a MO BUS QR Code and dynamic serial number series. The pass can be used by only the same person on whose name it is issued.

While the monthly charge for Freedom Pass in Bhubaneswar will be Rs 900 (AC) and Rs 600 (Non-AC) offering unlimited rides on all MO BUS routes within Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) areas, the freedom monthly magic pass allowed unlimited rides on all the MO BUS operational routes within MO BUS service area with monthly charge of Rs 1800 (AC) and Rs 1200 (Non-AC).
