The members of students’ wing Congress led by its state unit president Itish Pradhan staged a demonstration in front of Naveen Patnaik’s residence here at Abdul Kalam Road, formerly known as Aurangzeb Road.

They marched to the Chief Minister’s residence holding Odia language primer ‘Chhabila Madhu Barnabodha’, chalk, duster, slate and other stuff and held demonstrations.

“The Chief Minister of Odisha does not know Odia. We want him to teach Odia,” one of the NSUI activists said.

Itish along with four others were detained by Delhi police for violation of Section 144.

Few days ago, Itish along with four other member of NSUI were detained and later released by police in Bhubaneswar on two occasions while on their way to Naveen Niwas to teach Patnaik Odia language. However, they were arrested while they tried to barge into Naveen Niwas.
