Nursing home ransacked over patient’s death in Odisha

Angul, Mar 4:
Locals ransacked a private nursing home in Odisha’s Angul district today following death of a woman patient allegedly due to negligence in treatment.

According to police sources, Kadambini Mishra (50), the deceased, was admitted to Chandan nursing home in Angul town last night.
However, she died late last night while undergoing treatment.
Her family members alleged that negligence in treatment on the part of nursing home staff led to her death.
Later, the kin of the woman and locals went on a rampage and ransacked several properties of the nursing home.
On being informed, police reached the spot and pacified them.
