SCB nursing students hit the streets in Odisha capital again

The striking nursing students of SCB Medical College and Hospital staged a protest at Lower PMG in the Odisha capital today demanding transfer of principal and withdrawal of sine die.

The agitating students submitted a memorandum to the state government for the second time seeking strict action against Principal Kajal Rani Sinha, failing which they threatened to launch a 24×7 protest at Mahatma Gandhi Marg from tomorrow.

Notably, the nursing students are protesting against ill-treatment and casteist remark made by the principal against the nursing students of the premier government-run institute.

Earlier on May 19, they have met the Health Minister and the Health Secretary pressing for the fulfilment of their demands but no action has been taken so far.
