OAPF jawan found hanging inside government quarters in Odisha’s Kalahandi

Bhawanipatna: A jawan of the Odisha Auxiliary Police Force (OAPF) was found hanging inside his government quarters in Odisha’s Kalahandi district, today.

The deceased has been identified as Debaraj Nayak (32) of Chandahandi area in Nabarangpur district. He was posted at Dashapur police outpost under Golamunda police limits in the district.

Police have recovered the body and started an investigation into the incident to ascertain the circumstances under which he died.

Though the reason behind the death was not known, it is being suspected that he took the extreme step of ending his life by hanging himself.

Debaraj was married while his family members are residing in his village.
